The Food Skills for Families program engages key partnerships to expand the reach of the program and to enhance linkages with Ministry of Health, Health Authorities, other Ministries and other healthy eating and food security programs to better serve the needs of priority populations.

Fraser Health provides a wide range of integrated health care services to more than 1.6 million people living in communities stretching from Burnaby to White Rock to Hope.









Interior Health provides a wide range of integrated health-care programs and services to residents across BC’s Southern Interior.







Northern Health provides health services to 300,000 people over an area of 600,000 square kilometers in the province of British Columbia.







Vancouver Coastal Health delivers services to more than one million BC residents living in Vancouver, Vancouver’s North Shore, Richmond, the Sea-to-Sky Highway, Sunshine Coast, Bella Bella, Bella Coola the Central Coast and the surrounding areas.







Island Health provides health care to more than 765,000 people on Vancouver Island, the islands of the Georgia Strait, and in the mainland communities north of Powell River and south of Rivers Inlet







The BC First Nations Health Authority is the first province-wide health authority of its kind in Canada. In 2013, the FNHA assumed the programs, services, and responsibilities formerly handled by Health Canada’s First Nations Inuit Health Branch – Pacific Region. The Farmers Market Nutrition Coupon Program provides coupons to low income families and seniors who are enrolled in participating cooking and skills building programs.







Fresh Choice Kitchens is the Community Kitchen Program of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. It was formerly known as the Vancouver Community Kitchen Project and has been promoting and supporting community kitchens for over 14 years







The Shapedown BC program fosters healthy lifestyle changes with families that are learning about healthy eating and active living.
